As a lifelong Marylander who loves this state, I'm very concerned about the direction we are heading. I'm fed up with politics as usual in Annapolis, and I believe that we simply can't afford four more years of it.

We simply cannot allow the arrogant monopoly in Annapolis to continue to run this state into the ground with no opposition, no debate, and no checks and balances. All Marylanders – Democrats, Republicans, and Independents – suffer when the professional politicians and the special interests go unchecked, and they continue to stick to the same failed tax and spend ways that got us into this mess. It's time we stand up together and say enough is enough!

Real competition, meaningful choices, an honest debate of thoughtful ideas, and a healthy and balanced two-party system are essential to good government and our democracy. The people of Maryland deserve to have a strong, clear choice for a change.

We need to stand up for the millions of Marylanders suffering under the largest tax increases in Maryland history. We need to stand up for the 120,000 Marylanders who have lost their jobs since Governor O'Malley was elected, and for the thousands of small businesses struggling to keep their doors open.

Sadly, Governor O'Malley's failed record of lost jobs, higher spending, record tax increases, and broken promises is unacceptable. Maryland families deserve better.
